Melinda,

Well, I suppose so. Generally, the use of "K" on the end of a number indicates that one should multiply by 1,000. So 1K of stock is 1,000 shares. If you bought 3,000 shares, that is 3K, not 300K!

Having spent some time running road races when I was a little younger, I am used to these kinds of numbers. I often ran 10K races (10,000 meters, or 6.21 miles), but never would have entered a race advertised as 10,000K (6,210 miles)!!! <ggg> That's enough mileage to last me three good years of training.
