David, it is common for companies to issue news on letters of intent. Such letters are usually fairly binding and the great majority of time result in a completed deal.

As a start up, RDIM has little to bargain with except its stock, so it makes sense that the company would try to raise its stock price in order to make the acquisitions it needs as soon as possible. One way to do this is to issue PRs letting investors know about its prospects and plans.

By the time all these deals are secure, the stock will cost a lot more. The more risk and uncertainty, the more potential reward. Cannot have it both ways.
