The rest of you that feel the Repuglicans were wrong to vote for impeachment
should be doing the same thing. This will get the message through to the Republicans
quicker that waiting for the next election. We need to flush the Republican toilet.

That kind of "Republican toilet" rhetoric is destructive and polarizing. Though I despise the social views of certain southern Republicans (Lott, Barr) there are many Republicans who are cool in my book (Il. Gov.-elect George Ryan, William Weld). If I do register as a Democrat (as opposed to my current independent status) it will only be because the city I live in is heavily Democratic, and the real action for local elections takes place in the Democratic primaries. I would not want it seen as some "endorsement" of the national tactics and b.s. of Democrats, who when it comes down to it, are just as dirty and corrupt as their GOP counterparts. If it comes down to a choice between the party of the trial lawyers and entertainment industry vs. the party of the defense contractors and petro-chemical industry, I might just join the millions of Americans who belong to the Don't-Give-A-Damn party.

Regards
