McConnell: Impeachment before censure

WASHINGTON, Dec. 27 (UPI S) _ Senate Rules Committee Chairman Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., says (Sunday) the Senate will not consider a censure resolution against President Clinton until it has completed his impeachment trial. McConnell told Fox News Sunday that he believes, ''we can wrap this up very quickly, this is not a complicated case.''

Max,

but the democratic party is in just as much disarray, if not more, than the Republicans.

I think you're wrong there. This impeachment sham has unified Democrats--both nationally and locally--like nothing before. All the factions of the party have put aside their differences in fighting the Republicans.

I got the feeling that when this is all over a third party will emerge, stronger than the other two.

I say let's have Jesse Ventura lead this third party. Maybe we should start culling the World Wrestling Federation for candidates and cabinet members. Hmmmm.... I believe, Hulk Hogan would make a fine secretary of state. Saddam would never mess with the U.S. if we sent some 350-pound wrestler to Baghdad on an official state visit to kick his butt.
