Disgusted with INTC...<ggg>

My brother gave me and my family members Intel Create & Share Camera Packs (USB ... my second such device ... so exciting! ) this Christmas. To my surprise, during the online registration process, the software performed a system inventory that clocked my CPU at 398MHz.

This is an outrage. I paid for a 400MHz chip ... but 398MHz .... shouldn't have that been tossed into the scrap heap on a "close but no cigar" speed test??? Those 2MHz may not be statistically significant to INTC ... but they mean the world to me ... I knew that there was something wrong with this system ... I used to suspect the mediocre UltraWide SCIS-3 drives ... now, the true weak link has been exposed!

This experience has made me feel even more inferior to my 450MHz brethren ... not to mention those aloof Xeon guys. They could have at least rounded up! That is it ... I have slipped below "my no-upgrade" tolerance ... I am off to Dell.com ...<ggg>
