Hi Preston ~ What an explanation! Things are much clearer now. You are right about the DWA Wkly Momentum. From all the info I've been able to gather it's calculated on a 1 wk & 5 wk Mov Avg which is smoothed, and is proprietary to DWA. What confuses me is that (ie EGGS) it's pos one wk, then neg the next..... and from everything I've read the momentum is supposed to last 7 wks on avg. Yet I've seen some stks with 10-19 wks momo. Go figure! So I gather to be on the safe side us "newbies" should, as a MINIMUM , stick to the: + Trend, + Momentum, and at least "1" wk ? As you say "stack all the cards in your favor". I'll report back here if Jay has anything add'l to contribute on momo. I don't know why some charts have NO TOP band, but I feel safer with those stks above all. I'm currently looking at QWST & AMFM - with blessings from many. Thanks for your continued support & informative answers. Tiger Re-read prior post for add'l MINIMUMS.
