This article essentially tells us nothing new about BII or other Internet companies in the U.S. in the online auction business. Although the concerns raised by the author are similar to the concerns I share, I take exception to the idea that it is a "large assumption" for BII to improve upon its gross margins. Let's not forget, as has been stated several times over on this thread, Canadians are not as accustomed to the idea of Internet shopping to the same extent our neighbours to south are at present. And yes, trading on the TSE does pose an obvious disadvantage, however, it is ridiculous to assume these problems will not be overcome. I have stated before, and will state again, that if BII can start to show a profit by the Q4 next month, this stock will turn around in a hurry. In addition, BII had not previously embarked on a massive media blitz in order to raise profile that could have assisted in improving margins over the past six quarters up until now. The mentality up here is entirely different than that in the U.S. and the author of this superficial article fails to take that into consideration when looking at the popularity of online shopping in Canada compared to the U.S.

If people are going to post articles written by uninformed analysts on this thread, make sure they contain information relevant to BII and the circumstances under which they operate. It isn't simply a matter of comparing gross margins, revenues, sales etc. etc.
