Hi Mark, All,

Thanks for thoughts on the PowerJect company. I have visited the PowerJect web site several times;

powderject.com

I thought the gold particle injection was a joke; when the Japanese were doing well several years ago they used to sprinkle their drinks with gold dust! However on looking closely the company is doing a lot of work in the particle formulation techniques;

from Powerject press release;

BPD has developed a particle process based upon the technique of
precipitation of particles of a pharmaceutical compound from solution by mixing the solution with a super-critical fluid - such as liquid carbon dioxide -in which the pharmaceutical compound is not soluble. This single process precipitates the pharmaceutical compound in the form of particles with controlled size, density and crystallinity. The technique may also be used to co-precipitate novel combinations of compounds.

The company has some scientific maxi. A subsidiary is located in Wisconsin and recently completed phase one trials;

MADISON FIRM REPORTS DNA VACCINE SUCCESS

Using a "gene gun" to fire virus genes into patients' skin, a Madison company says it has immunized 11 people against the hepatitis B virus in recently completed clinical trials........

In the test, harmless pieces of viral DNA were blasted into patients using a "gene gun," which fires a shotgun-like blast of microscopic gold dust on shich the DNA rides......

This is the first time a so-called DNA vaccine has ever produced "protective immunity" to a disease, PowderJect Vaccines Inc. President Schaefer Price said in an interview......

The successful clinical trial triggers a $1 million payment to PowderJect by Glaxo Wellcome Inc. under a collaborative agreement...

...........................

It's significant that the phase one clinical trials are being conducted in the United States. The funding came from Glaxo, a British company, yet the trials were done stateside by a subsidiary of PowerJect.
