Is this board still alive??? My Uncle called me last night and has three reall old stocks certs...One is Cherry Run Petrolium issued in 1865....Another is Danial Boone petro and mining co issued in 1864, and the last one is Standard Creamry issued in 1929...This i believe was taken over by Borden Co. Any help would be great...Thanks, Randy

Researching Old Stocks: Any body know where we can search to see if any of the old companies were taken over by another company or changed the name.

I get e-mails every other day from people having Old Stocks they want to research on thier own to see if the shares are any good.

So if any of you can help please let me know.

Most of the companies I get asked about were before computers dating from 1920 - 1990
