not correct. Nasdaq uses an automated system that is based on bid/ask sizes and prices. When an order comes in that is not in-lined with the sizes, it may not get fill to the desired volume, or none at all if set to "all or none".

discusses the extraordinary appreciation in AMZN's stock value this year. The author
notes that AMZN'a price performance was totally

I read the article. The scenerio does not sound correct to me. I do not believe a market maker has to show and offer shares they do not own. I also noticed as AMZN traded, when there were more buyers than seller, the price would go up.
