Sorry I confused you, Charles. I wasn't referring to a premium grade computer. I was using premium in the sense of a gift tied to a purchase or contract commitment, as in the free clock you can get at my bank for guying a 2 year CD at 4% interest.

What did your cell phone's bill run for the first 6 months of your 1 year contract? My guess is they were able to recover the cost of the phone out of those bills alone. In the case of isp's, who charge a flat 19.95/mo., it would be impossible to recover the costs of even a $500 system over the course of a 1 year contract.
