with our surveillance, and other sources of information, it is a sure bet that we would know if that guy had the big one. that's why we keep smacking him around, to set him back and keep our foot on his neck.

i agree with those who say saddam will strike back. but he does not have a nuclear arsenal.

of greater concern, because of the difficulty to monitor, are biological and chemical weapons.
for a gripping quasi-fictional read on current techno capabilities, check out "the cobra event" by richard preston (who also wrote one of the original books on AIDS dissemination)
a truly terrifying description of how easy it would be to disrupt a city with biological weapons. remember the nerve gas attacks in Japan's subways?
