Alan,

The problem is that the Jews believe they are God's chosen people, and yet it is the Christian church which is being lavished with God's grace and love, not the Jews. If the Jews want God then they will have to obey him just like anyone else.

Chris

Good morning Alan,

......... Nothing could be farther from the truth........ Jews do not force Christians to obey the law... the problem the Jews have is when Christians try to force Jews to throw away everything that is Jewish law and all........ Emile is a good example of this..

Alan, is there a difference in when someone says,"you are a liar" in bluntness or when someone says "Nothing could be further from the truth" about a direct statement made?

I was not talking about Emile, but what I see in scripture. I agree with you that NOW Jews do not force me to obey the law, no more than I force Jews to believe in Jesus. And as I tried to explain to you in a prior post, I was not speaking of Jewish heritage, no more than I am speaking of my heritage of whatever it is. (as a side note, I have actually narrowed my lineage down to western europe , not from family tree, but from the disease I have has been traced back to there!!)
but anyway back to what i see, I think it is clear according to scripture that the Jews were persecuting the Christians, or as Nancy or DLL said the leaders. That was what I was saying, not today, but then.

As far as a lot of the Jewish traditions, I am not the one to tell anyone any are right or wrong. But if one is still waiting for a Savior and says He has not yet come, then I will disagree and use scripture to show He has. Many of the traditions that were "shadows" or copies ,if you will, are IMO important to show God's progression of promise through time.

I agree I see no reason to throw away heritage, nor do I see a way you CAN throw away heritage. As the sweet tater said "I yam what I yam!" :o)

And I agree with what Nancy is saying about being examples and such, I think if we are bearing good fruit as God calls us then He will take care of the rest and to me it becomes a moot point because all will be "jealous" of what we have(salvation) and will desire it.

I know your and Emiles differences and dislike are intense but I am not batting for him, I am batting for me, ok?

God Bless

dan
