while it is done on a very optomistic note, those wall street analysts that get paid the big bucks are justifying their targets of 160-170 based on valuation models that are used for cable companies. not on a pe basis, but on a per-subscriber basis juggled with the growth rate and amount of revenue per subscriber. It is estimated by some that by the year 2004 that aol will be in 30mm homes. More than double that of TCI which was bought by T at more than 3000 per subscriber. Due to the newness of the industry and AOL's domination, it is reasonable to expect that if/when the target is reached they can raise the target. This would be on an assumption that revenues per subscriber are growing more rapidly than expected.
IMHO

I know but, I never expected the stocks to reach this level. Look AOL is at 157 today. My estimate for the end of the week was 150.
