I think it's interesting that Ligand would issue a press release regarding the lawsuit against it by Seragen shareholders.

Preemptive strike? Steal some of the plaintiff's thunder? Why else would they do it? Normally it's the plaintiff that sends out the press releases about lawsuits it has filed.

henry, type ii diabetes is up 10 fold in san diego children over the last 9 years. this is probably due to excessive carbo (sugar) intake. whatever the cause, what does this rapid rise in type ii diabetes mean for lgnd and targretin?

on a more important note - parents - relax on the carbo dense foods for your children a little (soda, breads, pastas, etc...). add a little more protein...

hate to make money off other people's misery so i put forth the solution to a root cause, too...
