Hi There is no need to be wary of their motivation! We know exactly what it is, and you have defined it quite well. Just about the first thing you learn in the study of "Organizational Behaviour" is that "THE PRIMARY FUNCTION OF ANY ORGANIZATION IS TO PERPETUATE ITSELF". The rest is just decoration on the cake If anybody doesn't understand this I recommend they take a self improvement course in sales, or marketing, or Organizational , Management at some appropriate educational institution. It was true thirty odd years ago when I did the course, and it's still true to-day when competition and other economic influences, and political responses also are even more aggressive.
