G'day all - tippet echoed Zeev by saying, "I don't mess with nets ... long or short." at the risk of being a me-too individual, I don't do net stocks either [with my poor investment track record, maybe I should <sg>.] However, the definition of net stocks is getting so fuzzy these days. What makes a net stock a net stock. I mean, YHOO and AMZN are quite obvious, but the recent cache of BAAM and MZON etc. And why Infospace and not Banyan? I ve come to the conclusion similar to Zeev's. There are net stocks and there are net stocks. The former has net presence while the latter a concept stocks. The former sells real products and like Zeev said - and gets evaluated with B&G.
