David; They seem to be evasive about spelling out a lot of things
when it comes to the market. We get more second hand useless data
than we get of the actual current happenings, there seems to be
an inner circle of some sort who understand knowledge is power
as long as every one else don't know it.
Aristotle Onasa quoted that more than once, " the secret to
making money is you have to know something no one else knows"

One of my pet peeves is the short interest on stocks, we get the
data far to late for it to be of much use. There is no good
reason the cumulative short interest on any issue and all issues
can't be part and parcel with the price quotes to make the playing field more level instead of tilting it in favor of the market insiders.
