Kenya,
You are correct. Also buy solid beaten down companies for recovery in 12 to 18 months. Currently have some speculative stocks.

Do some option trading on core stocks. Mostly CPQ right now. Option trading is a way to play the short term stock moves while retaining long term tax advantages.

I've held on to 10K shares of CPQ for the past 16 months. The sad/good news is that I made more money in less then one month buying and holding 1K of AOL.

Does anyone on this thread have anything positive to say about the near term outlook on CPQ, in terms of it's valuation?

All opinions would be appreciated.
