Just working around the house spackling and such.

Hi E'lane,

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the Vikings/Oilers game. Yes, we got a few gifts from the officials. I'm wondering what they're going to end up doing about that next year... what form of instant replay will we have?

Not only did you see the last Oilers game ever, but you were also witness to:
-the last of 556 points scored by the vikings, a new record for the most points ever in a 16 game NFL season (passing the '83 redskins who had 541 points)
-the third team to ever go 15-1 since the 16 game schedule was initiated in 1978 (the '84 49ers and the '85 bears had done it previously, both went on to win the super bowl)
-Gary Anderson becoming the first kicker in league history to have a perfect season (he converted on all 94 of his kicks this year for a total of 164 points, also an NFL record)
-Gary Anderson extending his record streak of consecutive field goals to 40 attempts without a miss.
-Receivers Randy Moss and Cris Carter setting the record for the most touchdowns in a single season caught by a duo pair of WRs. They finished with 29.
-the last touchdown of the regular season by rookie sensation Randy Moss. The old record for most touchdowns in a season by a rookie was 13, Moss had 17 this year.

<gggg> We're pretty excited up here. Now we need to do well in the playoffs and win the super bowl. Otherwise all these stats fall by the wayside.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas :-)
