GMGC - Here is speculation from the GMGC thread: VOLUME ALERT ON GMGC Some wild, irresponsible speculation here. It's interesting to me that the web signup premiere of Portico is set for Jan 5, the same day as Steve Jobs' keynote at MacWorld San Francisco. Bear with me here. First of all, Apple is an investor in GMGC. Second, Apple has recently filed several patents on names like "myapple.com" for what looks like a portal or something portal-like. Third, Apple, which was an early pioneer on speech recognition, has been silent on the issue (no pun intended) for some time now. This is sheer, wild, unsubstantiated speculation on my part. But an announcement of a deal would be pretty cool and well-timed for both companies.
