It has exploded for more pts and for more percentage gain in the past. Although the trading day is still young.

After this spectacular run, I would hazard a guess at a short term top the morning after YHOO announces earnings and a split. It's going to be built into the price shortly, if not already. Some of this is probably S&P 500 speculation as well, but that's silly.

James.

Some newer Internet plays have exploded:

SkyMall - that company that provides the in-flight gift magazines of stuff that you normally wouldn't spend time to read about except when you are held captive in a passenger's seat. The stock moved up on news that they expect on-line sales to increase about 600% over last year . . . to a whopping $2.1 million! Reason enough in the age of Internet momentum for the stock valuation to rise by over $60 million.

But SKYM is a loser compared to Active Apparel, AAGP, who's stock rose as much as 10X this morning before backing off to a gain of ONLY 860% AAGP opened their Internet web site and despite being late for Christmas investors are glad to award it instant success.

There is no way to deny that the interest in INternet stocks is driving stocks to pandemonium levels and it is foolish for shorts or longs to try to rationalize the valuations on anything as irrelevant as fundamentals or business reality. The Internet love fest is in full bloom despite the frosty weather.

When will the stocks "come down to reality"? Not until next year, IMO - probably more up than down until spring or summer.

Go Amazongonenutty.com!!! Upward to Pluto!!!

>>Is this a top ?

I'm thinking the market's reaction to Yahoo's Q4 report will be revealing. Should be out sometime during the first 10 days of January.
