I was just thinking of it a buy in the short term rally that I expect in the near future (ie January). I bought CSCO already. I know you had not recommended the stock itself.
I have been trying to diversify -- with MSFT the biggest holding of my portfolio. MSFT is basically the only stock I will willing to hold long term at this point.

Their ability to market a product is incredible. If they are deemed not to be a monopoly in O/S--- I have a feeling that they will use Windows and IE to sell a lot of other products. That is, the stock will have a lot more potential.

Takeover targets?- Informix and Sybase.
I have heard these stocks have not done well. -- What are the chances them being a takeover targets for MSFT or others? If MSFT wants to get into the high end of databases, why not invest or buy these companies? If they don't want to get in this business soon, then it makes sense not to acquire.
Anyone have any ideas?
