Oil stocks often make their moves towards the end of a bull market. Maybe that analyst simply assumes that when oil stocks begin to move strongly higher, the bull market in non-commodity related shares will be just about done.

Wall Street Journal had an article today about the woes of Texas stripper wells. Many are going out of business because of the depressed oil price.
