that looks like hype to me...I know that when a co announces a buyback that they do not actually have to follow through with it but it would seem crazy to announce it without the intetion to really buy wouldn't it?

Mike(if you're reading) do co's just out right decieve investors with announcements like this?

This piece of IM news is sort of misleading. Actually, he is exercising stock options to acquire 1 million shares. Although no price of options, I would say it is probably lower than $5.

Tip, Nope. Ingram is certainly not in any financial trouble. Its eps are still growing, just not at the 40-50% rate they had been growing and, they are still grabbing market share. If they were really confident, they would pay a dividend, but they are not stupid and they know what is about to hit them. MB
