Got this off of the PMCS thread. It may already have been posted here.

INTERNET AND ELECTRONIC COMMERCE

Bandwith shaping up as the big topic in 1999.
A PricewaterhouseCoopers tech forecast released
early this month predicts demand for interactive
services will severely challenge the ability of
the Net's infrastructure to function properly.
Some say demand for bandwidth will increase
tenfold every single year through the next decade.

IMHO

1. Some fund managers are starting to buy or increasing their stake in QWST prior to the New Years while most of the big boys are still on hiatus.

2. What I like to call the MSFT effect. For example the cable companies that MSFT invested in doubled within a year. If Gates gives his blessing it adds a great deal of credibility, it also means (in the case of the Cable companies) that money will soon be made, the technology is ready for show time. Witness Cable Set top boxes/DSL rolling out in many markets as we speak. MSFT is buying into QWST at $45. While QWST is operational - '99 will see QWST begin to deliver on its true potential-the vision that Nacchio has so eloquently put forth. While it is always hard to put a future price on a stock, I wouldn't be extremely surprised if QWST trades at $95 or higher in '99.

I think our base at $45 is set with the current moves to the upside seen over the last two trading sessions. Bearing a major market downturn I think this can be maintained.

Regards to the QWST longs.
