Good Morning Sonny,

Glad that you had a good Christmas!!!! I can only stay for a minute because I have a new bed being delivered this morning after 7:30am. The S+P futures are up just a little and I heard that there was buying of Internet overnight. The Janus Twenty report is fabulous. It is one of the few mutual funds other then the Vanguard index 500 that I would recommend.
Congratulations on our AOL. Lets go Dell, Msft and Intc.

Have a good day

Frank

Sonny, thanks a lot for the Janus 20 update re their top holdings. Not that it matters as much at all in a fund, but what do you think of Dell these days? Looks like Compaq and Gateway and probably soon to follow all the boxmakers have figured out Dell's order on the web, very low inventory, made to order strategy. I wonder about Dell's future growth and lofty PE right now. WRT another of Janus' top holdings, Microsoft, I continue to be amazed that a company that puts out such relative trash as they do continues to fly. I know, their average investor thinks a kernal only comes on an ear of corn and a branch is what you pick apples from, and has no clue about their buggy software. I was just talking to a guy Sunday that does software for a RAID company who said Microsoft software is pure unadulterated garbage. They even have Y2K bugs in Windows 2000 already, they announced themselves!

There I go again, thinking too much, instead of just throwing money at the momentum stocks. Engineers do make the worst investors, you know. Worst case think everything. In spite of the rant, I'm doing just fine, thanks.

Right now, I'm almost fully invested in equities, probably wait for a pullback after some January effect winds down to buy more, including Janus. I can buy it with no fee at Schwab. My other favorite, Fidelity Select Computer, is not available through Schwab.

Thanks again for the Janus info,

Tony

Good morning Sonny,

Happy to learn that you are feeling better and that you had good New Year's Eve. Thanks again for the Janus Twenty Fund report on the stocks. I think the manager is not too excited about Amazon as he thinks the price is just too high and not worth the risk but he is extremely bullish on AOL. Have you noticed the new AOL thread that was started last week since AOL was added to the S+P. It sure does get a lot of traffic.
Look at all the predictions for the high and low made for 1999. You will see that I added my two cents there for what it is worth. If it was not for you and Sonki I probably would have missed a great stock for the future. I should have kept my original shares when I first got it at 79 but Oh well. It was a learning experience. I think I told you that I bought 250 shares back at 89.50 and the other 900 at 110. I sure hope that 1999 will be a great year and that there are no surprises.
What do you think of Ton Kurlaq upgrading Intel on December 23 after the stock doubled. This guy is a real character.

We did not get all the snow that was predicted but got some sleet last night and a real heavy down pour this morning. I think the temperature rose quite a bit over night. Yesterday I bought a 25 pound bag of rock salt but I do not think that I will need it today at least.

Have a great day and hopefully we will see tomorrow as the start of a great New Year in the stock market

Best Regards
Frank
