In the meantime the telecos enjoy the ISDN and T1 sales and are in no big hurry IMO to see cable and ADSL/VDSL. Conflict of interest....yep. Direct PC is a strong option while you wait if you don't have a good cable modem connection. However, Direct PC is starting to limit downloads by charging per extra meg over the max. allowed. As e-commerce grows and the content on-line grows by leaps and bounds there will be some serious infrastructure problems to overcome. This has been an issue for several years.
