as much as i gripe about the service i like the stock recently.
I trade 2 - 3 times per day...on phone at work and routinely hold for 1 - 4 minutes. I spend an avg of $80 - $100 per week at $18 per phone trade. Yet when i ask traders for quotes they get irritated.

granted i have no basis for comparison, but if this service drives amertrds atock up i am tempted to buy into others

for me on-line stock companies are among safest play for net stocks. no question that more and more people will stop paying merrill lynch $80 and start paying $7 to buy msft, intc, aol, etc. buying and holding these picks is not rocket science.

1 other possibility companies with 401ks link with discount broker & let ees trade their own portfolio. Someone please tell me wht this will or won't happen.

If you keep your portfolio on www.wallstreetcity.com you can have
a live ticker tape running of your stocks and pull up real time
quotes and charts every ten seconds. I use it to trade and go to
one of my accounts including Webstreet securities, Etrade, Amtd and
brown. It is the best FREE site I have found and the fastest. Your
portfolio updates automatically once you enter stocks.
