rll, dye sublimation yields superb results but at a cost. For those here who want a reasonably-priced printer (<$800) capable of generating prints akin to those on the pages of National Geographic (as well as B&W text at 10ppm) see hp2000c.com

I've been feeding mine everything from photo paper to card stock for a couple of months and having a ball!
