For months, the mail order houses have been offering the iMac with extra memory and other bonuses, for the same $1299 charged by CompUSA with no extras.

In addition, at 7 percent sales tax, that comes to another $90 you have to pay at CompUSA. Subtract a $20 shipping charge, and you still save $70, plus you get more from the mail order companies.

An iMac is an iMac, whether it comes from CompUSA or PC Connection.

So, why would you pay more to get less?
