I have decreased my position in DELL by quite a bit. Not because I don't believe in DELL but because the AOL ride is reminding me too much of old DELL times.

As it no longer appears to be a question of whether AOL will survive, I have created a new subject area as we start into this new era as an S&P 500 stock.

America On-Line (AOL)
Subject 24498

I hope to see you there!

pigfarmer,

I am going to keep both choices open. If DELL has a major run up before earnings (which for me is hit 100, 33% appreciation) I am going to take the 8 bagger (I bought Feb 85 call's for 2 approx.) and run. In fact I will probably sell a third at 90 to recover all capital and another third at 95 (total target 5-6 bagger).

If however DELL is hovering around 85 or less by first week of Feb, I will roll the calls out to March as I feel that DELL should be at 100 minimum by next earnings. But as Mark Twain said, prediction remains a tricky business - especially when it concerns the future. This is all risk capital which I can afford to lose, so while I believe that short-term speculation is not very wise, I guess I can afford to have some fun.
