Does anyone here play the penny stocks or at least follow them? I'm curious if most of the sleaze in that segment has moved to the internet arena- the profits are certainly larger and faster than any penny player could dream of. Maybe this _is_ a revolution, and the same sort of activity normally associated with penny stocks is now becoming the norm. The infrastructure is in place- online trading and message boards are all that's needed. The scary part is that every major brokerage/analyst in this country besides M.L. is now on the bandwagon and hyping to the moon. I swear to god they use the EXACT same cons and press releases and forecasts that I remember the penny pumpers did.. Ya know, this could turn out to be good for M.L., since so far they are the only house to have the balls and stand up to say "This is insane, end of discussion." In any case, I suspect Mary Meeker will not be as popular 12 months from now.
