jwk,

Re: global networks.

I find this to quite often be the case. This sort of slant to a story is common to U.S. reporting and seems to be generally accepted without question by many people. For example, I noticed that the 'Highlights' section for viewing the Crossfire with Dennis Grabow (CNN website) consisted of only one sound bite. This, from the Morgan Stanley(?) Chief Economist who was making the point that the money saved since 2-digit programming is much more than the costs of fixing Y2K. Therefore no problem or real threat to corporate earnings. Case closed.

Excuse me??? Does this guy have scrambled eggs for brains, or what? Does the world exist? AND, don't forget, this is the 'highlight' of the show according to CNN. Unfortunately, I have yet to get the entire show to play so I can hear Grabow's remarks. How can people like that work at a global financial institution, forget about Y2K?

Possible big future at the IMF for Mr. I-Live-In-A-Bubble.

Give me a break,
Bond
