Tim -- Very happy to see you back in these parts. In watching this evening's interview with the SSA chief on the News Hour with Jim Lehrer, I was struck by how his comments highlighted the facts that the bug IS real, that the SSA got onto it alomost ten years ago and spent the last five years heavily involved in resource commitment, that there is no other way around it ("It's not rocket science, it just takes a lot of time, hard work, and resources"), and that while the SSA has made it, many others in government and industry will not. In accepting congratulations for his agenecies apparent success, he validated the reality and seriousness of the problem and added his voice to the call for more intensive efforts. Can't be bad for TAVA, imho.
