All:
You guys are great. I tossed that Internet thing out there on a slow day for wcii, and look what happened.

BTW, what did the Internet Index do today? Up something like 255,000%, but it's the darn Beta that's keeping me away!

Broadband, Smodband, show me the money...

BTW, Frank, Why do I need a B-R-O-W-S-E-R anyway?
I must know your humble non-technical answer?
Let me guess, something like:
"Uhh, because Bill Gates can make more money that way!

Take Care, DW

Q: Mr. Gates makes about $150 per second (give or take), if he were to accidently drop a $500 bill on the pavement, would it be worth his time to bend over and pick it up?
A: My wife says he probably has people to do that for him...
But I think these "people" she speaks of probably would just pocket the money themselves. :-)

Have a good one ! :-)

Case Closed.
Bernard, Here's a CLEC you mentioned awhile back, they came out with a press release that had Internet splashed all over it, and the darn stock only went up 50% with almost 10 million traded.
DW
P.S. StevenB are you on these things? Too bad I got a day job or I'd be trading fast and furious...

Great corollary, Bernard.

>>but who knows what her service requirements will be in a few months? <<

What strikes me is that during the past two years, he's been fascinated with the multimedia component of Internet delivery, especially when he's been able to experience it via other platforms (not WebTV), and the possibility of downloading streaming m-m (movie clips and song pieces).

He also began, early on, to manage his investment portfolio using some of the popular screen-based tools.

BTW, the gray panther division doesn't like the "g" word tossed in their direction, unless it's done a certain way. Also, they're now able to look over your shoulder, so I'd watch what I say, in this regard. [smile]

Bernard, shame on you for condemning your Mom to narrow band status! As they say in New Orleans, let the good times roll (at megabit speeds). :-)
