How many besides me have noticed the definite surge in media attention on Y2K this week? NEW YORK TIMES Sunday edition, front page. Major media coverage of Clinton declaring Social Security is Y2K ready, with follow-up pieces by all the major networks about Y2K with the consensus that there is still too much to do and that some organizations will not make it. Y2K will dominate the press more and more during 1999, contributing to what I think will be a panic atmosphere by the summer. A rising tide that I hope TPII and Janis will take advantage of and right now.
