You should base that on what your ability and confidence is in screening and analysis. Given that it takes awhile to download, process, and screen (personally I use at least three filters with between 4 and 8 characteristics in each, and then review each chart when finished) Doing massive downloads and lookingfor one or two characteristics will still give you a large pile of stocks to decide from.
