AMZN's market cap is more than $13B ...I guess that the market cap of the Companies selling crap over the internet must be about 6 or 7 times that 13 Billion figure, eh? That's not too bad is it?

In other words, right now, internet shopping is a big nothing. Sound and fury indicating null and void.

Mike, They probably will continue to get big growth numbers but how about margins ? The openness of the net is going to be the death of profit. A friend showed me his new digital camera. Sony Mavica MVC-FD71. Very impressive. I searched one of these "shopbots" for prices

shopbot.com

and got a range from 599 to 699. No one is going to pay an extra dime for a specific product so competition is going to be ruinous.

John

Any of these names appeal to you more than others? I tried AMZN and took a hit. I also shorted MU and an much more comfortable with that position. Thanks for your thoughts! Bob
