Whoa! Here's one side of a battle that's been going one for a while now between 3Dfx and an independent developer that is/was creating a Glide wrapper for D3D:

angelic-coders.com

3Dfx looks rather "Microsoftian" in this account. Opinions?

** SPECULATION **

There MIGHT be some correlation between sales around nov. 6 of TDFX stock, and high volume purchases of STBI the same day (at least that's the only chunk big enough to correlate).

Did the board of directors purchase a % share of STBI as individuals to guarantee the deal would go through (and to increase their own position in the resulting entity)?

Any comments?

Why would all 8 officers file this form on the same day?

does anybody know what FORM 4 means?
Is this filing for purchase or sale?
could be excersizing their options now (effectively buying) in order to use this as a long term capital gain by the end of 1999?

Any info would be appreciated.
