No I'm not Jim Gray but I know him well. Tandem had a project to break out a version of the SQL product to run on NT. It was demonstrated in spring of '97 running against a 2 terrabyte data store over a 16 node cluster. I don't know what has happened to the technology since then, but clearly they had a demonstratable version running on NT a long time ago, before the CPQ acquisition, and it was also a part of the technology agreement between MSFT and Tandem.
