I think Motorola is one of Phil Fisher's "permanent" holdings. I remember an article in the SF Chronicle several years ago - Herb Greenberg's column, perhaps - saying that he held MOT for years and years and would continue to do so.

October crash was a much better time to buy. I like to buy when the yield is greater than 0.9% and the P/E below 24.
