Tip, thanks for post, I don't think I was all wrong, since the above is the point I was trying to make, although you made it far more eloquently.<g>

Also, I didn't say you worked for a regulated utility, I said you were involved in one.

I was surprised to read that telcos don't provide service in rural areas at a loss. I am thinking of Alaska and other really far-out places. It is my understanding that Senator (Congressman?) from Alaska is one of the major players in keeping telcos regulated, but I am operating from memory there. Am I wrong about that too?
