Re US Treasury To Buy Gold

biz.yahoo.com

<< ''Nasdaq's been the real driver in the States today and people are getting into Internet stocks and people are waiting for (U.S. Fed chairman Allan) Greenspan's economic outlook this afternoon,'' he said. >>

Maybe in this speech?

Sorry, False Alarm - Just noticed it was dated Dec 22nd.

Mark, very significant if true. IMO this may be the attack on PM manipulation and a shot across the bow of stock market overexuberance. The point being that there is stability and value in gold. Let's hope it's true, the market should tell us in the next day or two.

OK, e'mailed the fed asking them to confirm or deny, cut & pasted to Foxnews, CNBC(masturbation?), Rush and a few others, we shall see what washes up.

MB,
<< U.S. Treasury to buy gold on the open market>>
B.S., I'm betting this is true! I know why! Tie this to Don's story from I.I. concerning manipulation of gold price, and it may be the truth is coming out, and fearing retribution of powers on the Hill, AG may be willing to reverse the prior situation - or at least "leak" the threat of such actions........
IMHO this is so big, the problem will get fixed while we may never know the "whole" truth.
Only problem is their theory of AG doing the manipulation and the time frame of the manipulation. It has gone on far longer than this, and the powers in play are not all in our Federal Reserve.
