Latest from the Yahoo Zoo...................

" Now for the rumor: on January 4th 1999 a meeting will be held in San Francisco
and from what I have heard there will be nothing but extreme praise for the PC
industry- Most notably Compaq/Dell. I heard that small buying will start after the
bell on the 4th and at least 2 analysts will upgrade PC Industry and one analyst is
planning on upgrade for Compaq (though it will be a smaller name) The stock I have
heard will not have the big buying until around January 14th only if earnings are in
line with estimates. I personally am expecting earnings of between .42 and .46 a
share. Estimates are for .36, the stock should rise only modestly to around 47(low
end)-50(high end) by earnings. I have heard if economy stays stable (earnings
reports from big names) through January, the stock should test 60 by Jan 1999
end. It seems incredible (nearly 50% return in one month) I will not let my emotions
accept that price but at this point there is some cash waiting to be placed in
Compaq only if earnings just meet estimates (not sure what to expect when
earnings surpass estimates). "
