I'm not much of a wine geek, but I had a Chaulk Hill chardonay awhile back that was pretty good. I usually buy Estancia when price is of a concern, and Kendall Jackson if I want to spend a bit more. Had some sweet Beringer over XMAS (leibframelch maybe) that was smooth and easy to drink.

Cheers

Edwarda, Safeway had a special on Parducci a few weeks ago. I bought 2 bottles, one was a Cab (cant remember the year) and they were really good for the price I thought. I mean, really good! I mentioned Parducci to a friend who knows more about wine than I and her response was something like "yeah Ive tried Parducci, so what". Of course, I paid no attention to this comment as I ran back to Safeway to buy 12 more bottles. Unfortunately, these 12 dont seem to be the same at all - almost like a different year! Of course, weve only had 3 so far, theres still 9 left and I could hit on that prior experience (but I doubt it, I suspect it is a case by case or delivery thing - all 12 from this group are probably the same).

BTW I agree with whoever said we drink the Napa wines too young. In france, Napa wines are GREAT. They wouldnt think of drinking a 96 cab.
