According to Mary Meeker, I thought Amazon didn't have any competitors? At least that's what her buy recommendations seem to be based on. :)

Really, a buyout from Amazon would be about as credible as Zapata offering to buy Excite. The B&N board of directors would all have a big chuckle and then show Bezos to the exit.
