Becauses so many people/investors/manager have such large gains already this year that I fell they are waiting till the new year to free up some money.

Greg,
I looked at this differently. According to StockSheet almost half (47.4%) of Dell's shares are held by institutions. While I don't have a detailed breakdown of the institutions, I suspect that many of them are mutual funds that have already declared their final 1998 dividends and capital gains. Those funds no longer have an incentive to wait until 1999 if they want to take some or all of their gains. Any selling pressure these big institutions exert would already be felt. Individual investors wanting to lighten up clearly will wait a few more days. We'll see over the next month how this plays out. Certainly, your view might be correct.

I agree with a short term pull back for DELL, longs need not worry.
My charts call for a drop to at least 70, this will happen when the NASDAQ stops to catch its breath.
