Anybody notice the recent announcement of special shareholders meeting in January for USSP (see freeedgar.com). According to proxy, the company is planning on changing their name to ecom.com, presumably to align the company's name and ticker symbol more with what their future direction is going to be (e-commerce). I think the SportsNet venture is just the tip of the iceburg.

Here's an excerpt from the proxy:

Item 1. Date, Time, Place and Matters to be Discussed Information.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

(a) The special meeting of the shareholders is scheduled for January 25, 1999, at 4:00 p.m., at the offices of the Company, 8125 Monetary Drive, Suite H4, Riviera Beach, Florida 33404.

(b) The approximate date on which this Preliminary Information Statement is first sent or given to security holders is January 4, 1999.

(c) The purpose of the meeting is to discuss an amendment to the
Company's Articles of Incorporation to change the Company's name to
ecom ecom.com, inc., and to change the Company's trading symbol, which has been approved by all of the Company's directors on December 17, 1998.
