We went with Waterhouse Securities for my wife and me. I did a little shopping around and felt they were my best choice. I have a Schwab trading account but they want $29.00 per year fee. Waterhouse doesn't charge any fee. I put my $2000 into a bank stock for a $12.00 on line trading commission and put my wife into Vanguard Index Growth which cost $25.00 commission. Schwab charges $29.95 per on line trade. They seem to have a very large selection of mutual funds. I don't feel that their on line trading is as competent as Schwab, but if you are only making an occasional trade, Waterhouse might be a good choice.
